Kintaline Plant Centre history

In 1991 Kintaline was simple open farmland with one fence down the side of the house, and a small flower bed in the rough grass on the other side of the drive.

The area close by the house soon became a home to makeshift houses for the first poultry, my two Munsterlanders thought there for their entertainment !!

An area was prepared for a caravan set up as an outlet to sell whatever Kintaline could produce whilst the hard work to renovate the house, buildings and land. This also opened up a market to others with crafting talents.

Plants were grown, more plants were grown, and a space for these needed .. a more permanent home for the shop space was built, and the plant centre area evolved.
For years it was such a pleasure to grow and sell hardy plants – wonderful perennials, herbs, rhodendrons and more to locals and visitors alike.
This area is now dedicated growing food as the plant centre had to close when my fibromyalgia meant that running this was too much for me.
