Rural Communities

So often it seems that it is the cities that have the focus of governments and the rural areas are left without basics like roads, social services, education, dental provision.

It is so complex.

Our rural communities DO contribute way above our weight to the national economy  :
we grow the salmon and trout that is a massive export income.
We produce the whisky that is alongside this.
We host the wonderful visitors from around the globe that spend so much money in our cities and countryside.
We grow so much food for us all to eat.
But we are tiny populations with very little voice politically.
It is easy to see why the needs of the vulnerable in the cities can seem so much more urgent and important than we are
Somehow we need to change the politics of the whole of the UK, and gain control of our own finances and priorities in Scotland
