An external nest box with two compartments provides a roomy laying environment and gives all the available space within the house over to the birds. 2 roosting bars are fitted. A hinged nest box lid allows easy egg collection.
There is a slide-out floor / droppings tray to make cleaning out an easy task.
A lift off panel gives access to the house. There is a hinged door to access the run area.
A vertically sliding pop hole gives birds access to the run area via a ramp. The pop hole cover is operated by a draw cord. ( Will also accommodate an auto opener )
The house is raised allowing the birds to use the full footprint of the ark
The area under the house is weather protected on two aspects giving daytime shelter from wind and rain plus shade in the summer. The side weather panel is removable and can be fitted left or right. An additional weather panel is available to give extra protection.
The end panel under the house rotates 180 degrees and is designed to take a feed hopper. This feature allows easy access / filling of hopper and weather protection when closed.
There is an additional pop hole at the end of the run. Let your hens free range or add an extension run.

A smaller version of the Highland Standard that will accomodate 2/3 birds.
All of the features of the larger Ark are retained except the house is not raised.
