This is a portable house and run unit suitable for up to 6 medium sized, ducks or chickens, and a few more bantams. It is a perfect quail home.
The design is based on a larger version of the Aylesford house and run but with the additional weather protected feed station at the end of the run with slatted floor to keep the area cleaner.
This house now comes with the slide out floor as standard.

Image right shows feeding station detail.  This has been tested in our wet climate in Argyll and the area is deep enough to protect feed.   We know from bitter past experience that few designs do this.

This unit is great as it gives enclosed birds like quail, bantams, young pullets, or a broody with her babies a much better environment and more shelter against the vagaries of our climate – both rain and heat. To give them an area that provides an even better quality of life, fill the run with bark.

It’s a perfect size for raising a small number of table birds. These go outside rather earlier than laying pullets so if you are not in an area of the country with idyllic weather make it even better by fitting shelter panels to the sides leaving a gap at the top of the run, and covering the run with polythene or mini-profile corrugated sheeting.

Locate on an area of ground cover membrane and fill with deep coarse bark for a easy keep / fun for chickens surface.
Constructed with 12mm tongue and groove shiplap cladding on 38mm square framing. Dip treated in wood preserver that gives a mid brown finish.
The wire mesh used is 25mm square weldmesh, 16 guage ( 1.60mm thick )
All fixings and hardware are zinc plated.
Automatic door openers work with each model.
